Not all Distribution is Good Distribution

Artist publishing and distribution play a huge role in the success of an artist.  An artist’s primary goal is to successfully publish and distribute its content to its fans.  Sometimes the wrong videos/content can be distributed and become degrading to the artist.  Recently many artists have been plagued by sex tapes that have been leaked by fans who go too over the top.  Recently in entertainment news many artist’s such as Hulk Hogan, Nikki Minaj, Paris Hilton, and now Justin Bieber have been exposed.  This distribution is unwanted and spreads like wild fire.
Hulk Hogan has decided to take matters in his own hands and hire the FBI to track down the person responsible for leaking his sex tape.  One interesting thing about this case is that Hulk had to consult the FBI since local authorities in Florida would not pick up the case.  The claimed that since it was recorded several years ago the statue of limitations would limit , and discipline being taken.  Also the jurisdiction conflict was present since the tape was not actually filmed in Florida.  The  question is will the ever find who did this?  Will the Hulk ever receive justice for this incident.  Who would ever do this to Hulk Hogan?

Hulk Hogan is not the first person to be attacked by viral sex videos.  Young hip hop sensation Justin Beiber is undergoing the same exposure.  A sex tape was leaked on this young star just a few days ago.  My question is are these actual tapes or is someone really good ad Adobe.  Is it illegal to violate someone’s privacy like this?  If caught what would happen to the person who did this?  Do current distribution and copyright laws touch on sex tape distribution by someone else?  Technology, new websites, new ways of uploading and downloading have opened up many avenues for fans to get closer to celebrities.
